Ed Sheeran cancels Massachusetts concerts due to severe weather

Ed Sheeran's concerts at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts have been cancelled because of dangerous weather. The shows were planned for September 25 and 26, 2026. Tour promoter Messina Touring made the decision after speaking with local officials. A nor'easter storm was hitting the Boston area at the time. The promoter said the safety of fans and staff was the main reason for the cancellation. People who bought tickets will receive refunds. Ticketmaster customers will get their money back automatically. The next concert on the tour is in Atlanta on October 3. The tour has already had a difficult week. The stadium's owner reportedly stopped rapper Macklemore from performing there because of his political views, and several other artists then left the tour in protest.
