Disneyland begins Halloween Time season before Labor Day

Disneyland Resort launched its Halloween Time season on August 21, 2026, several weeks earlier than usual. The resort normally starts the event around Labor Day, a public holiday in early September. Moving the date forward gives the park extra time to attract visitors before the busy fall period begins.

Halloween Time includes themed decorations, special entertainment, and seasonal attractions across the resort. A separate ticketed Halloween event will also run on selected nights from September 19 to November 2. This will be its 51st year.

The earlier start is a deliberate strategy to bring in more guests during a quieter period between summer holidays and autumn. The resort expects the longer season will increase overall attendance.
