Disney releases new Nightmare Before Christmas graphic novel sequel in 2026

Disney has announced a new graphic novel set in the world of The Nightmare Before Christmas, due out on September 9, 2026. The book, published by Dynamite Entertainment, is called "The Hour of the Pumpkin Queen" and puts Sally at the centre of the story. She and other familiar characters from Halloween Town face a threat from the dark prince of Shadow Town, while Jack Skellington also appears. The graphic novel is an adaptation of a novel written by Megan Shepherd, titled "Shadow Over the Pumpkin Queen." Both books are the third instalment in the Pumpkin Queen series, which began in 2022. Disney has chosen to grow this franchise through books and comics rather than producing a new film.
