Development firm proposes 1,004-unit London complex with minimal parking

A property company has applied to build two tall residential towers in London, with a total of 1,004 flats. The towers will be 26 and 28 storeys high and will stand next to each other. The design has some unusual features. There will be only 21 car parking spaces for over a thousand homes. Instead, the developers have included around 500 bicycle spaces. None of the flats will have a balcony, and there will be no private outdoor space for residents. The buildings will have a shared rooftop area for all residents to use. The proposal suggests that the developers want to keep costs low and encourage people to use public transport rather than own a car.
