Cryptocurrency investors donate millions to Reform UK party

Christopher Harborne, a British crypto investor living in Thailand, has given £9 million to Reform UK. This is the biggest single donation ever made by a living person to a British political party. In total, Harborne has given Reform UK £15 million since the last general election. Another crypto billionaire, Ben Delo, has donated £8 million to the party in total. Delo was convicted in 2022 for breaking anti-money laundering rules, but was later pardoned by Donald Trump. Reform UK raised £5.3 million in the second quarter of 2025, and most of this money came from these two donors. The UK government wants to tighten rules on large donations from British citizens who live abroad.
