Cotton-top tamarin twins were born at several U.S. zoos in early 2026.
San Antonio Zoo announced its twins in late March in the Neotropica area. At Brevard Zoo, Luna gave birth to twins on January 8. At Lake Superior Zoo, Mira and Dino had their fifth successful litter.
Twins occur in about 80% of pregnancies in this species. However, only half of infant tamarins survive.
