Cirque du Soleil closes Mad Apple show at Las Vegas venue after four years

Cirque du Soleil has announced that its Las Vegas show Mad Apple will close permanently on September 5, 2026. The show has been running at New York-New York Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip since May 2022. More than 1.2 million people attended during its four-year run.

Mad Apple was unusual because it combined acrobatics with stand-up comedy, which no Cirque du Soleil resident show had done before. The production was originally created by a company called The Works, which Cirque du Soleil bought in 2019. Their partnership ended in 2024.

Other Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, including "O," "Mystere," and "Ka," will continue. Some Mad Apple performers had contracts that ran until 2027.
