Avengers Secret Wars filming pushed to early 2027

Marvel Studios has pushed back the start of filming for Avengers: Secret Wars to early 2027, probably January. It was originally planned to begin in late 2026. Three separate industry insiders reported the delay independently. The reason is that the script is being rewritten, which means the production will also need extra reshoots. Secret Wars is still scheduled to open in cinemas on December 17, 2027. That release date now leaves much less time for post-production work. Before Secret Wars, Marvel will release Avengers: Doomsday in December 2026. The two films were already close together, and the delay has cut the available time between them by about seven months. Secret Wars will end Phase 6 and close out Marvel's entire Multiverse Saga.
