Apple releases foldable iPhone Duo priced at $1,999

Apple has released its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, priced at $1,999. Pre-orders started on October 16, and the phone went on general sale on October 23.

When folded, the phone is roughly the size of a passport. When open, it shows a 7.6-inch screen, which Apple says is the thinnest foldable screen available. Users can run several apps at the same time and fold the phone into different positions. The two cameras can both work at once.

Other companies, including Samsung, have sold foldable phones for some time. Some buyers complained that earlier models had a visible line across the folding screen. Apple has not made a foldable phone before, so this is a big change in its product range.
