Anthropic investor launches venture fund focused on AI startups and compute access

Anjney Midha has started a new fund called AMP to invest in artificial intelligence companies. Midha, who is 34, was one of the first investors in Anthropic, a well-known AI company. He also worked as a senior partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where he led investments in frontier AI.

AMP is different from a traditional venture fund because it also gives early-stage companies and researchers access to computing power. Midha prefers to work closely with scientists and engineers, building one company at a time.

He currently sits on the boards of several AI companies, including Mistral and Luma AI. Before working in investment, he co-founded Ubiquity6, a startup that Discord later bought.
