Amazon cargo plane overruns runway and crashes in Miami

A cargo plane carrying Amazon packages crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday. The Boeing 767, operated by 21 Air LLC, went past the end of the runway at 1:53 p.m. It travelled about 1,300 feet beyond the paved surface, hitting vehicles and fences before stopping. Five people on the ground were killed, and five others were hurt. The victims were travelling in a van and a small SUV. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board sent 32 people to the scene. On Monday, workers recovered the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder, which store information about the plane's systems and the pilots' conversations. These black boxes were sent to the NTSB office in Washington, D.C., where experts will analyse them.
