Actresses speak out about child star mistreatment following Panettiere's death

Actresses Rose McGowan and Anna Paquin have spoken out about how Hollywood treats child performers, following the death of Hayden Panettiere.

McGowan posted on Instagram telling parents not to put children into show business. She said the situation is not normal.

Paquin also posted on Instagram. She wrote that many former child stars, especially young girls, have had very difficult lives and died too young. She said these children were not properly protected, even when it looked like systems were in place to help them.
