Actor files restraining order petition against ex-wife over child abuse allegations

Actor Olivier Martinez filed a court petition on September 26, 2026, claiming his ex-partner Halle Berry physically abused their 12-year-old son Maceo.

Martinez said the incident began when Berry criticised Maceo while he was wearing virtual reality goggles. He claimed she then grabbed the boy by the neck and jumped on him. Martinez also alleged there had been other incidents of physical and verbal abuse over several years. He said Berry sent him an apology by text after the incident.

A judge granted a temporary restraining order, which limits Berry's visits but allows her to contact Maceo. Martinez is asking for sole custody and wants Berry to stay sober during any visits. A court hearing was scheduled for October 16, 2026.
